Quartering The Capital Police

The planned expansion of the Capital Police is underway, after the Capitol Riots With the establishment of new field offices around the country. According to Luke Broadwater of the New York Times the expansion will bring regional offices to "California" and "Florida Offices." Broadwater reports they are tasked with being an "intelligence" organization rather than Capital defense. This unilateral broadening of the Capital Police's jurisdiction and responsibility raises a lot of questions.

The first of these questions that comes to mind is simple. Isn't this the FBI's (Federal Bureau of Investigation) purpose? They are already able to handle all issues on a countrywide basis, hence their presence in all these areas. We have tax payer dollars being spent towards all these efforts already in practice. There really is no need to establish even more federal enforcement.

The next question is of a more inquisitive nature. What are the new duties of the police force stepping outside their intended jurisdiction? According to a Press Release published on the Capital Police's own website, some of the responsibilities will be focused "Enhanced member protection" or better enhancing "the Dignitary Protection Division." The Capital Police continue to say this will present itself as "enhanced security for members of congress outside the national capital region." The Capital Police Press Release also confirms Broadwater's reports of new offices being open in California and Florida. All done in the name of fighting "threats" against "Members of Congress."

Additionally the Press Release goes on to say the organization will enhance "training" to what they referred to as the "CDU (Civil Disturbance Unit)" that will include, but not limited to "joint training with the national guard." These instructions are to include "shoot/don't shoot scenarios," non lethal takedowns and "riot" prevention. This is coming with enhanced "use of force, tactical, equipment, leadership, and incident command training." Having already sent their own "officials" to "CDU Training" in "Seattle" and "Virginia Beach" to better develop the capability of their division.

The Press Release moves on to discuss "Critical incident Response Planning." A section that seems to me to be very wide open on what options are at their disposal. Capital Police has locked in a "new CIRP Plan" putting in place a four part "action plan" allowing them "to quickly mobilize local, state, and federal aid to include DoD (Department of Defense)." Granting the ability "to respond to planned or not planned emergencies." Effectively allowing the newly established Capital Police Stations around the country access to having central control of the US War Machine without prior "approval" from any "board."

This change in the Capital Police brings with it an alarming reach of control. This section of the police is called the Capital police not the National Police. There is a reason we have other decentralized divisions. It is the only way to preserve individual liberty.

The only compromise here that I feel should be given, is the ability to communicate and share information across divisions with less restriction depending on the situation. After witnessing the pain delivered by governments in other countries, we have learned that giving that much power to one division is dangerous. It brings a level of uncertainty in any and all scenarios. We can look back on history and show how overreacting in these situations can turn simple dispersible events into hostile encounters. Increased federal presence has already risked fanning the flames of divide let alone the increased costs it would take.

The only thing in the Press Release that appears to be a saving grace is the involvement of the GAO (Government Accountability Office), but when you look deeper it is merely an office designated to "enhance" their "controls and processes" not hold them accountable to the outside community. A department with the true focus on implementing a shift in the agency into an "IPA (Intelligence Protective Agency)." Something the nation already has an alphabet agency to conduct operations in this category of national defense.

Lets begin with nice name, but it still brings me back to the FBI and the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency). These two organizations are already designated to conduct nationwide police and intelligence operations respectively. Again, I am having a hard time comprehending the need for an additional division instead of the focused growth or ability of the current standing entities.

Everyone should take a moment to ponder whether or not the "Seasoned law enforcement and operational planning experts" that make up the personnel of the Capital Police should not be able to adopt the wide language within the Press Release, that quite frankly needs to give a more clear requirement in regard to public accountability, or if they should be given that type of control. Granting the power to completely shut down and lock down all citizens in the surrounding areas to easily minimal incidents is an attractive proposition, but these kinds of incidents could have been better managed with local crowd control measures to avoid excessive force. This shift in management and operational focus is an abuse of government authority and beyond the current capabilities of the Capital Police.

Now we move onto the Capital Police's statements of acquiring better gear to facilitate their new duties. The say they need new "helmets, shields, and batons" to include what they described as "less-than lethal munitions." All this done through a loan from the DoD, effectively making you the taxpayer fund the establishment of a tyrannical national police state. All this has given the Capital Police access to top of line line "surveillance" systems to enhance "threat" detection and monitoring. Delivering the ability to have greater unnecessary reach compared to the agencies in the areas that already serve this exact function.

We have finally reached the most important part of this Press Release. The organization has changed its policy in order to facilitate better internal communication between "sworn officers." A change that will in itself make their ability to carry out their core duties more difficult. The job of protecting their assigned Member of Congress and sharing information about their protection details can pose a risk from other Members of Congress who may have ill will. Congressmen used to fight each other while in session.

The Big Tech Censorship Machine is already an issue, however, now after the establishment of the PIO (Public Information Office) USPC leadership can work with "Google, "Twitter, YouTube and Facebook" to spread and gather This includes the unchecked ability to coordinate and operate with "Federal, state, and local enforcement" and "congressional stakeholders. " A level of power the Capital Police should not have, in a free and open society,

Only time will tell if the Capital Police will abuse this new power, they have begun "a new recruitment method" including an improved "social media" presence and more "traditional media." It appears that the Capital Police is trying to grow rapidly and this is not a good sign for ending fascism in the United States. We have to keep in mind the increased push for the alterations to the Draft requirement to include women, it is a reasonable possibility they have another plan on staffing their new Gastapo force,

Even with this new development it is not too late to prevent history from repeating itself. There is still time to shift the push towards Fascism back towards Individual Liberty, but we all have to do our part. So we will continue to watch as it all unfolds monitoring all the information found released by the Capital Police.
